Welcome to episode seven of Soundscapes Radio. In this episode I pushed myself to create a 30-minute piece with a single theme/motif. The piano melody at the beginning remains throughout the entire 30 minutes but doesn't loop once. The piece is broken into three movements but remains coherently tied together in theme. The name of this suite, The Cloud Nocturnes, comes from a nod to both György Ligeti and his idea of creating "Cloud"-like textures with the orchestra and the "Nocturne" compositions by Chopin & Debussy et al.; i.e. music inspired by, or evocative, of the night.

Soundscapes Radio is a soundscape/jam/performance broadcast on the 1st Friday of every month.

Each episode features brand new music from sound artist SJF. To be expected: field recordings, dark drones, shimmering strings & lush clouds of sound.
